Amanda Schofield was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. In high school, she developed a passion for business as a member of DECA—an international association of marketing students. Through DECA, she traveled to compete on the national level.
She received a scholarship to the University of New Mexico, where she studied at the Robert O. Anderson School of Management.
In 2012, Amanda relocated to Arizona with her family. She started her career in the finance industry at a firm in Scottsdale, which recruits experienced financial advisors. As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, she learned many aspects of the financial industry. Amanda later accepted an offer at a wealth management firm in Phoenix as the Director of Business Operations. Amanda enjoyed the extensive amount of client interaction in this role, but she saw many clients being pressured into purchasing annuities and index funds when it may not have been in their best interests. She was conflicted by the high-pressure sales environment that favored pre-selected products, while compromising varying needs of the client.
When she’s not working, Amanda enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter Stella. She also enjoys working out, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Amanda volunteers at animal and homeless shelters, and supports various philanthropic events sponsored by her college sorority.
In January 2016, Amanda became acquainted with T&T Capital Management. She was quickly attracted to the value investing approach as well as Tim Travis’ dedication and analytics. By March 2016, Amanda aligned her career with a company that addressed her ambition as well as her conscience. As the Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Acquisitions at T&T Capital Management, Amanda oversees marketing and social media, but is always anxious to help clients whenever needed.
